Gifting you a group of Christmas poems that are full of active verbs so kids can write, narrate and role-play whilst getting into the seasonal spirit.
I gave these to my drama group and was very pleasantly surprised when they read through the poems and then decided to write their own, using these as inspiration!
So, the class started with some wonderful writing and ended with some fun dramatisation, including lots of lovely traditional ideas and a funny, subversive version of Santa who vomits on a poor unsuspecting girl as she sleeps in her bed.
Included below is the dramatic moment when Santa lets rip from the sky. More hee hee than ho ho; we laughed a lot!
